What is Sexual Assault?

Sexual Assault is any unwanted behaviour that makes a person feel uncomfortable, threatened or scared.

Sexual assault occurs when a person:

  • Without lawful reason, indecently assaults you (i.e. groping, inappropriate touching of a sexual nature) or uses sexual innuendo and verbal harassment.
  • Holds you without consent to commit an act of gross indecency (i.e. forces you to perform a sexual act on them), or exposes themselves to you.
  • Being made to watch or pose for pornography.
