Women’s Health Information and Referral Service CQ Inc. (WHIRSCQ) will host a Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month Information Session on Thursday, the 6th of March 2025, from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm at Rockhampton Leagues Club.
Objectives:
- To gain a better understanding and insights on:
- Domestic and family violence in Capricornia.
- Non-fatal strangulation in domestic and family violence.
- Coercive control legislation in Queensland with a First Nations lens.
- Benefits of counselling to support recovery.
- Community’s roles as active bystanders.
- Various support services available.
All community members are welcome, and it is FREE to attend.
RSVP is required for catering purposes (refreshments and a light lunch are provided).
