About the Session
In recognition of Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Prevention Month, this half-day information session brings together key local services to strengthen awareness, collaboration, and community responses to DFV in regional Queensland. The session will explore current trends, coercive control, culturally safe and trauma‑informed approaches, and practical pathways to support, with a focus on prevention through education, connection, and early intervention.
Objectives:
- Increase understanding of DFV in regional Queensland
- Highlight culturally safe and trauma-informed approaches
- Strengthen collaboration across local services
- Support recognition of early warning signs and pathways to help
- Promote prevention through education, connection, and early intervention
